Conor McGregor enjoyed himself in New York as he took a break from training for his UFC comeback later this year.

The Irishman was in the Big Apple on Tuesday and visited Madison Square Garden to watch an NHL clash between the New York Rangers and the Washington Capitals.

McGregor was his usual dapper self as he showed off his Rolex watch worth a whopping £108,000.

The former two-weight UFC champion is known for his extensive watch collection, with his his Jacob & Co Rasputin Diamond Minute Repeater the most expensive one he owns, worth £1.91 million.

The fans clearly enjoyed McGregor’s appearance at the NHL game, as he took time to take pictures with them and sign autographs.

After the game, McGregor headed to a local Irish pub in New York, Mustang Harry’s, and enjoyed some of his Proper Twelve whisky with fans where he even became a barman for part of the evening.

McGregor posted pictures from the night out on Instagram, captioning the post: “Always great to be back in New York and at Madison Square Garden!

“Congrats to the New York Rangers tonight! Proper times at Mustang Harry’s!”

During his stop in the city, he also donated $1m to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, which providing mortgage-free homes to fallen first responder and military families.

The Foundation then tweeted their thanks, saying: “This donation marks $3.7m donated by Proper No. Twelve to Tunnel to Towers. Thank you, Conor McGregor. We could not be more grateful.”

McGregor has not competed in the UFC since his trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier in July 2021, which he lost due to doctor stoppage after he suffered a broken tibia.

Later this year, however, McGregor will make his comeback to the octagon against fellow UFC veteran Michael Chandler.

McGregor will not be done there, though, as he recently told Barstool Sports: “What do I hope for in this world?

“I hope for 100 fights. I hope for 100 more fights. I’m working for consistency.

“I’ve been having this on, off, on, off nonsense for too long, via fight politics, via injuries, via just life.

“It does happen. It’s God’s plan. It’s all God, so I accept and understand it.

“But I’m excited and hopeful that I can get a nice consecutive run of bouts.

“I’ve got a lot of exciting fights. I’ve got some rivalries. You’ve got guys on the climb, you’ve got guys in other divisions that are supposed to be the best.

“There’s loads of bouts I could have and I’m excited for every single one of them.”
